“Indiana Joins the Race as Finalist for Four-Star Quarterback Brodie McWhorter!”

Four-star quarterback Brodie McWhorter has narrowed down his list of top schools to six finalists: West Virginia, Wisconsin, Syracuse, Indiana, Auburn, and Mississippi State, as reported by 247Sports’ Tom Loy.

Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 205 pounds, McWhorter is a junior at Cass High School in Cartersville, Georgia, and is ranked as the No. 24 quarterback in the nation according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.

McWhorter is scheduled to visit several schools this spring, with one trip planned for March and another unofficial visit set for June. His official visit is scheduled from June 6th through 8th.

As a sophomore in 2023, McWhorter threw for 2,128 yards and 20 touchdowns, completing 65% of his passes while also rushing for 530 yards and five touchdowns. His junior season was cut short due to a broken fibula and dislocated ankle, which required surgery, but prior to the injury, he totaled 1,200 yards of offense, 14 touchdowns, and a 72% completion rate.

Indiana’s head coach, Curt Cignetti, is working to build his recruiting class for 2026, and so far, McWhorter is the most prominent target. McWhorter was impressed by Indiana’s 2024 season, noting how Coach Cignetti proved himself in his first year despite the team facing challenges.

McWhorter has also earned praise for his arm strength, accuracy, and quick release, with many considering him a top talent in this year’s recruiting class.
