Following a weekend of strong conference play, NC State and Clemson split the ACC’s weekly men’s tennis awards for matches played March 10–16.
🏅 Player of the Week: Fons Van Sambeek (NC State)
Senior Fons Van Sambeek led No. 5 NC State to back-to-back ACC wins over No. 32 Florida State and No. 34 Miami, going a perfect 4-0 with two singles and two doubles victories.

Won 6-3, 6-3 in singles (Court 4)

Teamed with Braden Shick to defeat the nation’s No. 3-ranked doubles pair, 6-4 (Court 1)

🎾 Doubles Team of the Week: Noa Vukadin & Max Smith (Clemson)
Clemson’s duo of Noa Vukadin and Max Smith went 2-0 on Court 1, helping the Tigers take down two top-ranked teams: North Carolina and Duke.

Pulled off a 6-4 comeback win to clinch the doubles point

Snapped Clemson’s 10-match losing streak against UNC (first win since 2013)

🌟 Freshman of the Week: Viktor Markov (Clemson)
Freshman Viktor Markov played a pivotal role in No. 23 Clemson’s wins over UNC and Duke.
