Stephen A. Admits He Was Wrong About Jimmy Butler’s Impact on Warriors

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith has retracted his initial skepticism about Jimmy Butler’s impact on the Golden State Warriors. After the Warriors’ 126-102 win over the Dallas Mavericks, Smith acknowledged that he was wrong to doubt the team’s potential with Butler on board.

Smith credited Butler’s ability to get to the free-throw line frequently, which has helped to alleviate some of the pressure on Steph Curry. He also noted that Draymond Green has elevated his game since Butler’s arrival, and that the team’s overall chemistry has improved.

The Warriors have gone 5-1 since acquiring Butler, and Smith has taken notice of their newfound potency. While he still doesn’t think the Warriors will win the championship, he has revised his opinion on their chances.

Butler has fit in seamlessly with the Warriors, averaging 20 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game. His presence has also allowed Curry to play off the ball more, which has helped to conserve his energy.

The Warriors’ success with Butler has been a welcome surprise for the team and its fans. As they continue to gel and build chemistry, they may prove to be a more formidable opponent than initially thought.
