“Raiders Set to Make Bold Move: Targeting Star Quarterback in Trade!”

The Las Vegas Raiders are on the hunt for a new quarterback this offseason following their decision to part ways with former starter Gardner Minshew. Reports indicate that the team is seriously considering acquiring a veteran quarterback via trade.

On Friday morning, Diana Russini shared that the Raiders are actively “exploring” options to bring in a veteran signal-caller, potentially through both the free-agent and trade markets. This includes the possibility of trading for a current starting quarterback.

If the Raiders pursue this route, Vincent Bonsignore, a Las Vegas Raiders insider with the Las Vegas Review-Journal, named Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith as a top target. He believes that Smith could be a perfect fit for the Raiders if they opt for a trade to secure a veteran QB.

This potential move makes sense given that former Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll, who helped Smith achieve Pro Bowl-level success during their time together in Seattle, has recently been hired by the Raiders. Over the past two seasons with Carroll, Smith threw for 7,906 yards, 50 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions, completing 67.4% of his passes.

The trade seems plausible, but whether or not it comes to fruition remains to be seen.
