Draymond Green is known for his entertaining personality, but his blunt style on The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis might be a bit of a challenge for the Golden State Warriors at times. Recently, Green shared why Stephen Curry chose not to deliver a speech for Klay Thompson’s return to San Francisco to face the Dallas Mavericks. “I pissed Steph off because he was supposed to speak before the game,” Green explained. “He called me and said he wasn’t going to speak because he needed to focus on the game. I tried reaching out to Klay to discuss something else, but Klay ignored me. He got mad, and that’s why I took that shot at the end of the game, which felt almost like the Olympic shot.” Green suggested Curry was upset after Thompson didn’t respond to his messages. However, Curry offered a different perspective after the Warriors’ 120-117 win. “From my viewpoint, it was about the fans recognizing Klay,” Curry explained. “I didn’t feel the need to add anything to that. It was clear during the pregame warmups and after the tribute video that the fans’ support was all that was needed. It’s about what Klay meant to the Bay Area, to the franchise, and to the fans who watched him from 2011 to last season.”
