GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Haley Cavinder delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 31 points, as the University of Miami women’s basketball team (3-0) shot 58.2 percent from the field and 41.2 percent from beyond the arc to secure an 83-73 road victory over Florida (3-1).
Cavinder was exceptional, hitting 13 of 23 shots, grabbing six rebounds, dishing out five assists, and recording two steals.
Jasmyne Roberts added 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting, along with three rebounds and two steals.
Hanna Cavinder also had a strong performance, scoring 12 points, pulling down six rebounds, providing five assists, and registering two steals. She posted a game-high plus/minus of +22 in 36 minutes.
For the second straight game, Darrione Rogers came off the bench to contribute significantly, scoring eight points and hitting 2-of-4 from three-point range.
Miami started strong, hitting their first five field goals and taking a 23-17 lead after the first quarter. They shot 62.5 percent from the field in the second quarter, dominating the Gators and extending their lead to 15 points at halftime.
Florida tried to rally in the third, outscoring Miami 27-17, cutting the deficit to five entering the final period.
However, Miami responded by shooting 60 percent from the field and 80 percent from three in the fourth quarter to close out the 10-point win and stay unbeaten.

– The Hurricanes made 12 of 14 free throws, good for 85.7 percent.
– Miami outrebounded Florida 29-27.
