The Golden State Warriors have had an impressive start to the 2024 season, securing the second-best record in the Western Conference despite a tough loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on November 18. Draymond Green and Stephen Curry remain key to the team’s success, and Green recently shared a story that is sure to capture the attention of Warriors fans.
During a late-November conversation with Fox Sports 1’s Rachel Nichols, Green revealed how much respect Curry commands in the NBA. According to Nichols, Green shared that a current NBA All-Star had contacted him over the summer to ask for Curry’s phone number. The All-Star was so nervous about reaching out to Curry that he asked Green to help him write the text.
It might be hard to believe that another All-Star would be intimidated by Curry, but considering Curry’s status as a living legend, it’s understandable. Along with leading the Warriors to four NBA championships, Curry also holds the record for the most three-pointers made in NBA history. Other players in the league hold him in high regard, and Curry shows no signs of slowing down. Together with Green and the rest of the Warriors, he is now aiming for his fifth championship ring.
