A 6-foot-5, 190-pound guard from Tampa, Fla., Matthew Able ranks as the No. 34 player in the class of 2025 according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He is considered a top-40 recruit by Rivals, On3, and 247Sports, while ESPN ranks him No. 56 overall and the nation’s No. 13 shooting guard.
Able played for Austin Rivers SE Elite on the 3SSB Circuit in 2024, averaging 13.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.4 steals across 19 games. He shot 44.8 percent from three-point range and 82.5 percent from the free-throw line.
In his final game on the 3SSB Circuit, Able scored 35 points and grabbed seven rebounds, shooting 70 percent (7-of-10) from beyond the arc.
Able helped Berkeley Prep to a 23-7 record in 2023-24 but will finish his senior year at Sagemont Prep in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

He was an unranked prospect going into the summer but steadily improved and finished the circuit among the top 50 players in the nation. Matthew will be a great addition to our program next season.”
Ben Ahmed, a 6-foot-9, 300-pound center from Putnam, Conn., is ranked No. 94 nationally in the 247Sports Composite and is the second-best player from Connecticut.
During the 2024 3SSB Circuit, Ahmed averaged 9.0 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, shooting 47.1 percent from the field.
Ahmed helped Putnam Science Academy win the National Prep Championship in 2022-23 and led the team to a runner-up finish in 2023-24. Originally from Kaduna State, Nigeria, Ahmed is known for his powerful low-post play.
“Ben Ahmed is a physically dominant player with an elite left-handed scoring touch around the basket. He plays with high energy and is also a capable passer in the high post. Ben will be a valuable asset to the Miami program in the coming years.”
