SEE WHAT:Former four-star quarterback Chuva Purdy transfers from Nebraska to Nevada

Chuba Purdy is making sure his brother Brock isn’t the only quarterback in his family to make headlines this week.

The younger Purdy committed Monday to play football at Nevada, transferring from Nebraska to the Wolfpack, where he played the past two seasons.

Purdy initially selected San Jose State through his transfer portal, but he transferred to Nevada after coach Brent Brennan left SJSU for Arizona.

Purdy, the younger brother of San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy, will be eligible to play two seasons with the Wolfpack.
A four-star prospect coming out of high school, he played in six games for the Cornhuskers last year, starting two of them.
He completed 54.
4% (31 of 57) of his passes for 382 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions.
He also ran for 180 yards and a score.

 

Nevada will be Purdy’s third school to play as a student.
He started his career at Jeff Sims State, appearing in four games in two seasons before transferring to Nebraska.
Purdy joined fellow Huskers QB Jeff Sims in the transfer portal after the season while coach Matt Rhule was actively searching for a new signal caller.
Nebraska acquired top recruit Dylan Raiola out of Georgia before the early signing period.
