JUST IN:Winter Break Scrapped, SPFL Confirms

The SPFL has today confirmed that the Scottish Premiership will scrap its winter break from next season as it takes steps to adapt to the expansion of European competition starting in the autumn, with the group stage currently running until the end of January .

 

An update published on the official website entitled ‘Key dates for the 2024/25 season’ confirmed the start and end dates for next season’s SPFL release, including the League (Bahia Play) Cup dates.

The SPFL today confirmed some key dates for next season.
This is the first season of a new cycle of UEFA club competitions, with which the match days will increase from his six to ten days in the UEFA League stage.
Premiership, Championship, League 1 and League 2 all start on the weekend of 2/3/4.
In August, the Premiership will be held on the weekend of 17/18.
May is over.
clubs in the Championship, League 1 and League 2 will finish in his first weekend of May before the play-offs begin.
