BREAKING NEWS:BREAKING NEWS:Latest Lager Bjelke – seems likely to move to Genoa

Serie A side Genoa are eyeing Gustav Lagerbjelke to replace Romanian centre-back Radu Dragusin, who is expected to work with former manager Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham.

Yesterday, Sky Sports’ Gianluca Di Marzio reported that fellow Serie A side Lecce have approached Celtic about loaning the Sweden international.
However, according to Di Marzio, the Italian side would incur significant costs that could prevent the agreement from becoming a reality.
Lagerbjelke has endured a period of insensitivity in Glasgow since joining the club for £3m in the summer.
The Swede played in a total of nine games, including two in the eventful Champions League against Feyenoord.
Many fans believed that the winning goal in the home game against the Dutch champions would be the start of Glasgow’s East End career, but this was not to be.

The 23-year-old played 27 minutes in Celtic’s 3-0 win over St Mirren last Tuesday and has featured in just one of the last five games since the 2-1 win over Feyenoord.
Lager Bjelke, the 2023 Alvenskan Swedish Player of the Year, has been a player that has divided opinion among Celtic fans this season.
The Sweden international has had some promising moments this season, including his performance in the first Glasgow derby of the season, a 1-0 win over Ibrox at the start of September.
However, he is a player missing a key element as a center back for Celtic.
With a lack of pace and poor short passing hampering Brendan Rodgers’ ability to play in Celtic’s setup, and with Liam Scales unlikely to emerge this season, the Swedish defender could fill an immediate need.
The director’s assessment that he did not do well became even stronger.

A loan move to Italy’s top flight could be a great move for Lager Bjelke.
The combination of a more realistic soccer culture and lower playing intensity provides an environment suited to his defensive qualities.
