Celtic need reinforcements in a number of positions in January.
Manager Brendan Rodgers is keen to strengthen his squad ahead of the crucial second half of the season.
Several players have been linked to the Hoops in the past, including winger Nicolas Kuhn.
The 24-year-old plays for Rapid Vienna in Austria and spent his childhood at the prestigious academies of Ajax Amsterdam and Bayern Munich.
Despite their initial connection with the player, Vienna sporting director Markus Katzer admitted at the weekend that he did not expect the team to release anyone in January.
This put a damper on the possibility of Kuhn’s transfer, but Katzer appears to have returned to his thoughts.
As reported by Sky Sports (via Football Scotland), Katzer has left the door open for a transfer: “Every player has a price,” he said.
“If the offer is right then of course we have to deal with it.
” Many may have thought a move from Coon to Glasgow was unlikely after Coetzer’s comments at the weekend.
, then the opinion changed.
Celtic undoubtedly have the ingredients to make the Austrian capital club a ‘decent offer’ for one of their key players to strengthen Parkhead’s attacking line-up.
It remains to be seen whether they will make a move, but the German winger certainly seems to be an intriguing figure for the champions.
