Alabama will be without one of its wide receivers as a player enters the transfer portal following the ReliaQuest Bowl.
According to Rivals, Jaren Hamilton is exploring other opportunities to continue his college football career. Hamilton spent two seasons with the Crimson Tide.
The Gainesville, Florida native, from Buchholz High School, was a highly rated 4-star recruit in the Class of 2023. Ranked as the 35th-best wide receiver and 238th overall prospect nationally by 247Sports Composite, he also received attention from several other major programs, including Florida, Michigan, Ole Miss, and USC, before choosing to play for Nick Saban at Alabama.
During his time with the Crimson Tide, Hamilton appeared in six games across two seasons. In 2023, he saw action in Alabama’s victories over Middle Tennessee and Chattanooga, ultimately redshirting due to playing in fewer than four regular-season games. This season, he played in four games, contributing on both offense and special teams in matchups against Western Kentucky, Wisconsin, Mercer, and Michigan.
Despite his appearances, Hamilton did not record any offensive statistics in his career at Alabama. He still has three years of college eligibility remaining.
