JUST IN:Liverpool will be without another left-back against Arsenal due to sudden suspension

Owen Beck has been recalled from his loan spell at Dundee for Sunday’s FA Cup clash, but it appears he will be unable to play due to suspension.
The 21-year-old enjoyed a successful spell in Scotland, making 20 appearances in the first half of the season before Liverpool decided to terminate his loan deal.

With Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas sidelined through injury, the Reds opted to expand their options at left-back in Beck, who was apparently aiming to make his full debut against Arsenal.
However, The Athletic reports that Beck is ineligible to play at the Emirates due to the one-match suspension he brought in from Scotland.
The young defender received two yellow cards in the Scottish League Cup in July and was suspended as Dundee failed to progress in the competition.

And now, with Liverpool facing a cup competition, Beck will have to serve his suspension despite both teams playing in different countries.

Liverpool may not have known this when they decided to bring Beck back, but Beck missed out on a realistic chance of making his full debut against Arsenal.
Manager Jurgen Klopp praised Beck in Friday’s pre-match press conference, saying:

Now the situation here is clear – we’ve lost two left-backs, so it makes sense to bring back players that we like and can handle us.

” Now we know.

The caveat is that he will be unavailable on Sunday.

However, with Tsimikas and Robertson unlikely to return this month, he could still prove valuable to the manager.

As for Sunday’s selections, if Klopp decides on the best possible line-up, Joe Gomez will start, while Luke Chambers will be a rotation option at left-back
