“Just In: Joe Burrow’s Smug Message After Bengals Miss Playoffs Again—You Won’t Believe What He Said!”

The Cincinnati Bengals were eliminated from playoff contention after Week 18 of the 2024 NFL season, despite quarterback Joe Burrow delivering a career-best performance.

After suffering a season-ending wrist injury in 2023, Burrow experienced another heartbreaking postseason miss last year, as the Bengals’ hopes were dashed by a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. This season, the Bengals were edged out of playoff contention by the Denver Broncos in a narrow loss on Sunday.

However, despite the setback, Burrow seems undeterred by the challenges facing his young receiving corps. In a bold statement on social media after the season ended, he described the 2024 season as one to “remember.”

“Season to remember, sorry you won’t get to watch anymore. Year 5 in the books,” Burrow posted, accompanied by a photo of himself walking onto the field with teammates Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.

Chase commented on the post, saying, “MVP LOADING,” while both he and Higgins shared Burrow’s message on their Instagram Stories. Their online activity signals a sense of unity amid ongoing speculation about their futures with the team.

Higgins and Chase are set to hit unrestricted free agency in 2025 and 2026, respectively, unless they secure long-term deals. While Chase, the reigning triple crown champion, will likely be the Bengals’ top priority in the offseason, Higgins has been playing at a high level and could be tempted by more lucrative offers from other teams.

Burrow can certainly be proud of his impressive individual performance, having led the league with 4,918 passing yards and 43 touchdowns, earning himself MVP-caliber recognition. However, with other teams thriving in the playoffs in recent years, Burrow knows that his work is far from complete.
