Shocking: Tigers aim for a comeback victory in Starkville versus Mississippi State

After suffering a narrow defeat on the road, breaking their winning streak in Tuscaloosa, the Auburn basketball team is determined to return to the victory column as they progress through the middle portion of their SEC schedule.

Their upcoming challenge takes them to Starkville, Mississippi, where they face the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Auburn boasts a five-game winning streak in this series, with victories in their last two encounters at Humphrey Coliseum.

The Tigers, with a 16-3 (5-1) record, experienced a setback in a 79-75 loss to arch-rival Alabama in their previous game.

Despite a strong second-half comeback, turnovers and a lack of three-pointers proved detrimental to their success. On the other side, the Bulldogs, with a 13-6 (2-4) record, also seek redemption after a 79-70 loss to Florida.

Mississippi State, currently 11th in the SEC, is not unfamiliar with facing top-tier teams following a loss, having recently defeated No. 5 Tennessee.
