“Historic Debut: How Butler Made an Instant Impact and Made Warriors Franchise History”

Jimmy Butler made an immediate impact in his debut with the Warriors, setting a franchise record for most free throws made (11) in a debut while playing a key role in the team’s 132-111 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Saturday, erasing a 24-point second-half deficit.

Butler scored 25 points, shooting 7-of-12 from the field and 11-of-13 from the free-throw line. His presence energized the Warriors, with Steph Curry adding a spectacular 24-point third quarter that fueled the team’s comeback.

After the game, Butler shared his excitement about playing alongside Curry, explaining how their contrasting styles complement each other. “They say opposites attract in a lot of ways in life,” he said. “I don’t think I could be a better complement to him, and vice versa. There’s so much space for everybody else, and I get to play 1-on-1 in that space.”

While Butler and Curry have much work to do to lead the Warriors to a deep playoff run, Saturday’s debut offered a promising glimpse of their potential together.
