LAMBEAU FIELD, Wis. (WBAY) – On Sunday, numerous Super Bowl parties took place, with one of the largest held at Lambeau Field. This event was part of a nationwide series of 30 gatherings in NFL cities, hosted at iconic stadiums and venues, including Green Bay.
The atmosphere at Lambeau was electric, filled with Packers fans clad in green and gold, even though the Packers weren’t competing in the Super Bowl. For those in attendance, it was an opportunity to cheer for another team and enjoy the historic venue. Former Packer Randall Cobb served as the event’s host.

“I’m just excited to see some of the fans. My favorite thing is whenever I meet fans and we are able to relive different moments throughout my career,” said Cobb. “Whether it be my first game or one of the Chicago catches, it’s great to hear their perspective and share those memories.”
The event, known as the Verizon Super Bowl Fanfest, was held in all 30 NFL cities for the first time, drawing fans from miles away to Titletown.
“I’ve been a big Packer fan for a long time, and when I saw the opportunity, I jumped at it. Not only that, but being at Lambeau Field is amazing, whether there’s a game or not. There’s so much history here,” said Kyle Willkomm, who traveled from Kenosha.
This wasn’t just a watch party; it included Hall of Fame tours, local entertainment, and player meet-and-greets, adding to the experience.
Even though the Packers weren’t in the Super Bowl, many fans felt the draw of being at Lambeau.
“It’s at Lambeau Field, so we thought it would be pretty awesome to watch the Super Bowl here,” said Lisa Krautkramer of Kaukauna.
“It’s honestly really cool. I’ve never been to anything like it. The environment is amazing, even though I’m sad the Packers aren’t playing,” said Willkomm.
Fans are hopeful that next year, they’ll be watching a Super Bowl matchup featuring the Packers on the field.
