How Quinn Ewers’ Journey is Set to Shake the 2025 NFL Draft.

Quinn Ewers is on the brink of NFL stardom, with his name already etched as a top-five pick in the highly anticipated 2025 NFL Draft. As the clock ticks down to the Combine, the Texas gunslinger is sharpening his arsenal, ready to take center stage and wow the football world.

Ewers’ meteoric rise from prodigy to potential franchise quarterback has caught the attention of none other than Joe Burrow, the Bengals’ superstar. Like Ewers, Burrow once had to navigate a winding road to success, making the former No. 1 high school recruit’s story even more intriguing.

Ewers burst onto the college football scene as a freshman at Ohio State, but when opportunity didn’t knock, he didn’t wait. He made headlines as one of the most sought-after transfers in modern college football history, returning to his Texas roots and dominating as the Longhorns’ QB1 for three thrilling seasons.

Burrow, who also started at Ohio State before transferring to LSU, sees shades of his own journey in Ewers’ path. Speaking on *The Dan Patrick Show*, Burrow praised Ewers for navigating today’s new-age college football landscape, dominated by NIL deals and the transfer portal.

“You’ve got to take advantage of NIL,” Burrow said. “If you can make seven figures in college, why wouldn’t you? If I had those opportunities, I would’ve done the same—go where they’re paying you the most.”

And that’s exactly what Ewers did. NIL and the transfer portal gave him the chance to rewrite his story, leaving Ohio State behind and finding stardom at Texas.

Burrow admitted he would’ve made similar moves if these tools existed in his day. “If the portal was around back then, I probably would’ve transferred earlier. But back then, you had to graduate or sit out a year. It was a whole different ball game.”

Burrow’s transfer to LSU led to a storybook season in 2019—a Heisman Trophy, a national title, and becoming the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. If Ewers can follow in those footsteps, the sky’s the limit for his NFL career.

As the draft nears, one thing is clear: Ewers isn’t just chasing greatness—he’s running it down. His journey has been bold, his talent undeniable, and his potential off the charts. The next Joe Burrow? Maybe. A future NFL superstar? Absolutely.
