Former Indiana Hoosiers center Mike Katic has officially announced his new career move, joining Barstool Sports. He will be a part of Barstool’s live midday show, The Yak, hosted by Dave “Big Cat” Katz. While Katic was once considered a potential late-round NFL Draft pick or undrafted free agent, he has decided to put his NFL aspirations on hold for this exciting opportunity.
During his six-year career, Katic played 50 games on the offensive line, experiencing a wide range of challenges, from being a redshirt freshman to navigating multiple coaching changes and positional shifts. With plenty of stories to share, Katic is ready for this new chapter.
“I’m pumped. This is what I think I was born to do,” Katic expressed on The Yak. “Football’s great, but I think this is my thing.” He also reflected on the timing of the decision, saying, “I was doing the combine thing today, and I was like, ‘You know, if this job didn’t come up, I would actually be training for the actual combine.’ So I’m really excited to be here.”
