Alabama basketball has revealed new throwback uniforms, which were showcased on social media Tuesday. These crimson jerseys are a twist on the white throwbacks worn last season.
Currently ranked No. 4 in the latest AP Top 25, Alabama holds a 15-3 overall record and a 4-1 mark in SEC play. They are the second-highest-ranked SEC team, trailing only No. 1 Auburn and ahead of No. 5 Florida.
Under head coach Nate Oats, the team entered SEC play with a 10-2 overall record and started conference action with three straight wins against Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Texas A&M. Alabama suffered its first SEC loss last week, falling to Ole Miss 74-64 at home. However, they bounced back with a thrilling 102-97 victory over top-10 Kentucky on the road at Rupp Arena.
Next up, Alabama will host Vanderbilt on Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET. Vanderbilt is coming off an exciting upset win over a top-10 Tennessee team.
The new throwback uniforms will make their debut on Saturday against LSU at 7:30 p.m. CT. LSU has struggled in SEC play with a 1-4 record, securing their only win against Arkansas.
