“Warriors’ Injury Woes: 3 Starters Uncertain for Monday’s Clash with Celtics”

The Celtics will catch a break to start their four-game road trip as the Golden State Warriors face a severely shorthanded lineup for Monday’s game at Chase Center.

Stephen Curry is one of five players listed on the Warriors’ injury report. After spraining his ankle in Saturday’s win over the Wizards, the All-Star guard is considered questionable, although he has expressed confidence about playing on Monday.

Even if Curry suits up, Golden State will still be missing four key rotation players, including two starters. Draymond Green (calf sprain), Jonathan Kuminga (ankle sprain), Kyle Anderson (glute bursitis), and Brandin Podziemski (abdominal injury) have all been ruled out. Green’s calf injury could sideline him for a longer period.

The Warriors, despite winning their last two games, have had a disappointing season since their 7-1 start, which included a win over the Celtics in November. Since then, they’ve gone just 14-19, even with the addition of former Celtics guard Dennis Schroder.

The Celtics, looking to avenge their November loss to Golden State, come into the game healthier. Kristaps Porzingis (injury management) and Al Horford (toe sprain) were both cleared from the injury report after missing Saturday’s loss to the Hawks. Porzingis and Jaylen Brown both sat out Boston’s 118-112 defeat to the Warriors in November.

Currently in the midst of a challenging stretch of five games in seven nights, the Celtics have lost three of their last five, including an overtime defeat to the Hawks on Saturday. Jrue Holiday is eager to bounce back as Boston starts their Western Conference road trip.

“We know it’s going to be a tough road trip, so we’re going to lock in and take it one game at a time,” Holiday said after Saturday’s loss.

The Celtics will face the Warriors at 5 p.m. ET on Monday, with the game airing on TNT.
