Earlier this month, Roc Bellantoni was officially named Auburn’s new outside linebackers coach after several coaching changes within the program due to departures for other jobs. Bellantoni previously worked under Bryan Harsin and most recently served as the defensive coordinator at Florida Atlantic for two seasons. Upon returning to Auburn, Bellantoni wasted no time diving into recruiting, reaching out to 4-star linebacker Jordan Campbell.
Campbell, a standout from Opa Locka, Florida, is ranked as the No. 4 linebacker in the 2026 recruiting class and the No. 10 prospect in the state. While he committed to Miami in November 2023, he is keeping his recruitment open.
The linebacker made his second visit to Auburn on Friday, ahead of upcoming trips to Alabama and Georgia. During his visit, Campbell discussed his conversation with Bellantoni, expressing appreciation for the coach’s interest in him. “That means everything to me. It shows a lot of interest in what they have and how much they believe in me,” Campbell said.
During the visit, Campbell toured Auburn’s facilities and learned more about the defense he would play in. He was particularly excited about how Auburn could help develop his physique and playstyle. “They run a 3-4 defense, which I’m comfortable with, and I also play in a 3-3-5. They’re really a multiple defense, and I’m used to playing in multiple systems,” he noted.
Auburn will host a major Junior Day event next weekend, and Campbell hinted that he might return for a third visit soon.
