“Big SEC Game at Risk: Kentucky Faces Alabama with Key Players on Injury Report”

Lamont Butler and Andrew Carr Featured on UK Injury Report Ahead of Alabama Game

The Kentucky injury report reveals that both fifth-year guard Lamont Butler and fifth-year forward Andrew Carr are dealing with issues ahead of Saturday’s game against Alabama. Butler, who has been dealing with a right ankle injury sustained during UK’s loss at Clemson in December, is listed as “questionable,” meaning he has a 50% chance of playing. The 6-foot-2 guard is averaging 13.4 points and 4.7 assists this season, contributing 15 assists in Kentucky’s last two games. He’s played 30 minutes or more in every SEC game so far.

Carr, a 6-foot-11 forward, is listed as “probable,” indicating a 75% chance that he will play against the Crimson Tide. Carr, who’s averaged 11.4 points and 5.8 rebounds per game, has been a consistent presence in Kentucky’s lineup despite ongoing injury concerns. He was previously a game-time decision for recent matchups and will benefit from the team’s upcoming break after Saturday’s game.

Meanwhile, fifth-year guard Kerr Kriisa remains sidelined due to a foot injury he sustained in December. While he’s out for his ninth consecutive game, Kriisa is progressing in his recovery and is expected to begin rehab soon.

On the Alabama side, freshman forward Derrion Reid is listed as “questionable” for the game due to an ankle injury. He missed Alabama’s last game and is uncertain for Saturday’s matchup.
