The Golden State Warriors have made a major decision regarding Jimmy Butler, choosing not to pursue a trade for the Miami Heat star. This comes as a surprise, given the Warriors’ previous interest in Butler. However, it seems they’re now focused on finding a bigger player to complement Stephen Curry and Draymond Green ¹.
Butler, who has expressed his desire to leave the Heat, is expected to opt out of his player option for next season in search of a longer-term contract. His age and injury history are significant concerns for potential suitors. The Heat, meanwhile, are hesitant to offer him a max extension ².
The Phoenix Suns are currently the only team actively interested in trading for Butler. However, they may need to get creative with their offer, as the Heat are reportedly uninterested in Bradley Beal ¹.
Other teams, such as the Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets, and Brooklyn Nets, have also been linked to Butler in the past. Nevertheless, it appears the Warriors are no longer in the running ³.
