Junior wide receiver Makai Jackson has transferred from Appalachian State to Indiana for his senior season, as reported by Chris Hummer of 247 Sports on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday.
Standing 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds, Jackson has accumulated 158 receptions, 2,154 yards, and 15 touchdowns in his three years of college football. In 2024, he recorded 46 catches for 745 yards and five touchdowns at App State, also contributing as a return specialist on kickoffs and punts.
Jackson began his college career at Saint Francis University, where he played alongside Indiana junior wide receiver Elijah Sarratt in 2022.
Indiana is set to lose wide receivers Miles Cross, Myles Price, and Ke’Shawn Williams due to eligibility expiration but will return players like Elijah Sarratt, Omar Cooper Jr., and EJ Williams Jr.
Additionally, Indiana has secured top quarterback transfer Fernando Mendoza from Cal. Mendoza threw for 3,004 yards, 16 touchdowns, and only 6 interceptions in the 2024 season, with a completion rate of 68.7%. He has two years of eligibility left.
