The Dallas Cowboys have lost their long-held spot at the top of the NFL’s playoff appearance leaderboard.
On Monday night, the Green Bay Packers secured their playoff berth with a dominant win over the New Orleans Saints, marking their 24th playoff appearance in NFL history. This achievement pushed them past the Cowboys, who had previously held the record with 23 appearances.
While the Packers’ success continues, the Cowboys have faced challenges in recent years. Under Jerry Jones’ ownership, Dallas has seen a .500 playoff appearance record, with 18 playoff seasons and 18 non-playoff seasons since 1989. Ironically, former Packers head coach Mike McCarthy, who led Green Bay to multiple playoff appearances, now finds himself coaching Dallas, further highlighting the Packers’ dominance in this category.
