Just one day after securing transfer quarterback Fernando Mendoza, the Indiana football program added another signal-caller commitment on Christmas Day.
Under first-year head coach Curt Cignetti, the Hoosiers enjoyed an exceptional 2024 season, finishing 11-2 and earning a spot in the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff.
On Christmas Day, Indiana received a commitment from 3-star quarterback Jacob Bell, who currently plays at Naperville North High School in Illinois. Bell cited the success and bright future of the Hoosiers under Cignetti as his main motivation for joining the program.
With Mendoza joining the team after two years at Cal, competition at quarterback will heat up. Mendoza is expected to challenge for the starting role next season, but Bell and others could also vie for the position. As Indiana aims to build on its success, the quarterback battle will be one of the key storylines heading into the 2025 season.
