“Breaking News: Indiana Fever Names 42-Year-Old as New Player Development Coach”

The Indiana Fever announced today the hiring of Keith Porter as their new Player Development Coach.

Porter most recently served as the Player Development Coach for the Connecticut Sun during the 2023-24 season. During his time there, he collaborated with current Fever Head Coach Stephanie White and played a pivotal role in developing WNBA stars, including Alyssa Thomas (All-WNBA First Team), DeWanna Bonner, Brionna Jones (WNBA All-Stars), and Dijonai Carrington (WNBA Most Improved Player).

In addition to his work with the Sun, Porter is the Head Coach at Kosovo Heritage Basketball Academy in Pristina, Kosovo, where he trains over 400 players annually.

Porter’s basketball career includes two seasons at the University of Connecticut Avery Point (Division III), where he led the nation in scoring, earned All-American honors, and was inducted into the program’s Hall of Fame. He also played professionally in Spain and Puerto Rico.
