CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – The 2024 ACC Football Championship Game will feature the top two teams in the Atlantic Coast Conference: No. 8 SMU and No. 17 Clemson. The game is set for Saturday, December 7, at 8 p.m. ET in Charlotte, North Carolina, airing on ABC. This marks the 15th primetime game in the past 16 years.

Tickets for the championship game are currently available, with premium hospitality options offering field-side seating, pregame, and postgame experiences. Fans can purchase tickets through official team or ACC websites and platforms like Ticketmaster.

This is SMU’s first appearance in the ACC Football Championship Game, following their entry into the conference on July 1, 2024. The Mustangs, boasting an impressive 11-1 record and an undefeated 8-0 in ACC play, are the first team to reach the championship in their inaugural season. SMU enters the game on a nine-game winning streak, with nine victories over Power 4 teams.

Clemson, making its 10th appearance in the ACC Football Championship Game, is aiming for its 22nd ACC title. The Tigers, with an 8-1 record in the game, have won eight consecutive championships since 2011. Clemson holds a 9-3 overall record and a 7-1 ACC record heading into the game. This will be the first meeting between SMU and Clemson on the football field.

The game will take place at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, home to the NFL’s Carolina Panthers. The ACC Championship has been hosted at this venue 13 times in the last 14 years, drawing an average attendance of nearly 70,000 fans.

As part of the weekend festivities, fans can visit Fan Fest at Romare Bearden Park, featuring entertainment, games, and live performances.
