A second Clemson football player is reportedly planning to transfer.
On Friday night, On3 Sports revealed that Clemson junior safety Sherrod Covil Jr. intends to enter the transfer portal when it opens on Monday. Covil, a former four-star recruit from Virginia, has played in 32 games for the Tigers. After seeing some early action this season and earning his first career start against Florida State, Covil’s playing time decreased as the season progressed. He did not see the field at all—neither on defense nor special teams—in Clemson’s recent game against South Carolina.
