The Golden State Warriors provided crucial updates on the injuries of key players Stephen Curry and Draymond Green ahead of their back-to-back game against the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday. Curry is listed as probable due to left-knee bursitis, while Green is also probable with right-elbow soreness.
These updates come after the Warriors’ 112-108 win over the New Orleans Pelicans, where both players had important contributions. Curry nearly recorded a triple-double, finishing with 19 points, seven assists, and seven rebounds, while Green posted 11 points, eight rebounds, and five assists. With this victory, the Warriors improved to 12-3 on the season and secured their spot in the NBA Cup quarterfinals.
Both Curry and Green are expected to play in the upcoming game against the Spurs (8-8), as the Warriors aim to extend their win streak to three games. Golden State, with the best record in the Western Conference, is beginning to show signs of returning to their championship form.
Curry has been playing one of his most efficient seasons, averaging 22.7 points, 6.6 assists, and 5.3 rebounds per game. His shooting has been impressive, with 48.9% from the field and 45% from three-point range. Green, too, has contributed significantly, averaging 9.2 points, 6 rebounds, and 5.7 assists, while shooting a career-best 45.3% from beyond the arc.
The game against the Spurs will mark the second of a two-game road trip for Golden State. Afterward, they will return home to face the Brooklyn Nets. Both Curry and Green’s performances are critical as the Warriors look to maintain their position as a top contender in the Western Conference.
