Warriors’ Main Worry Has Nothing to Do with Curry

The Golden State Warriors are off to a strong start, leading the Western Conference. However, despite their success, they have a glaring issue: free-throw shooting. The team ranks last in the NBA in free-throw percentage, making just 70% of their shots. This problem could cost them games and impact their seeding.

Stephen Curry, the Warriors’ star player, is not the issue. He’s shooting a remarkable 95.3% from the free-throw line, the best of his career. However, the rest of the team needs to improve. The Warriors’ lack of size is also a concern, but their free-throw shooting is a more pressing issue. If they can’t improve from the line, it could be a major obstacle in their pursuit of another championship.
