Bengals’ secondary takes another hit with key player’s major injury.

The Cincinnati Bengals suffered a significant loss beyond their Week 11 defeat to the Los Angeles Chargers. Cornerback DJ Turner II fractured his clavicle during the game and will be placed on the injured reserve list. He will miss a minimum of four weeks, but a return timetable has not been provided.

Turner’s injury is a significant blow to the Bengals’ secondary, which is already without cornerback Dax Hill due to a torn ACL. Turner had started six games this season, recording 29 tackles and eight passes defended. His absence will likely be felt, especially considering the team’s struggles in the secondary.

The Bengals have allowed 34 points or more in three of their last four games, and the secondary has been a problem area all season. With Turner out, Cam Taylor-Britt will likely move back into a starting spot alongside Josh Newton. However, the team’s secondary issues are unlikely to be resolved without external additions.

The Bengals’ injury woes are a significant concern, especially with the team’s playoff hopes hanging in the balance. Turner’s injury is just the latest in a string of setbacks for the team, and it remains to be seen how they will respond. One thing is certain, however: the Bengals’ secondary will need to be addressed in the offseason.
