Williams, a fifth-round pick by the Lions in 2016, had a brief career in the NFL. After his rookie season with Detroit, where he appeared in 14 games and recorded 27 tackles, Williams bounced around the league but never played in another NFL game. His post-football journey led him to the XFL’s DC Defenders in 2020, though he was waived and ultimately decided to pursue a law degree.

According to court documents, Williams was one of the first individuals to breach the restricted perimeter near the Peace Monument during the riot.
