Raiders Shake Up Coaching Staff, But QB Decision Remains Unchanged: What’s Next for the Team?
The Las Vegas Raiders are making waves as they emerge from their bye week, having made bold moves within their coaching ranks. In a major shakeup, the team parted ways with three offensive staff members, including offensive coordinator Luke Getsy. To fill the void, Scott Turner has been appointed as interim offensive coordinator, with his father, legendary coach Norv Turner, joining the staff in an advisory role.
But while the Raiders are shaking things up on the sidelines, one position remains locked: quarterback. Despite Gardner Minshew being benched three times in the season’s first nine games, head coach Antonio Pierce announced this week that the veteran journeyman would continue as the starting QB. However, Pierce’s comments left a sense of doubt hanging in the air. When asked about the decision, he candidly responded, “What do we got to lose at this point, right? We’re 2-7… I’m looking forward.”
As the Raiders continue their struggle this season, fans and analysts alike are questioning whether this decision will pay off, or if it’s just a matter of time before another change is made at quarterback.
