SAD NEWS: Four Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs key players announced departure today after…

Josh Addo-Carr Exit Rumors**

Canterbury Bulldogs General Manager of Football Phil Gould has spoken out regarding speculation that winger Josh Addo-Carr may have played his last game for the club. This follows Addo-Carr’s two failed roadside drug tests, which ruled him out of the 2024 NRL Finals and raised questions about his future in Belmore.

Rumors have circulated that the $550,000-a-season player could be looking for a new team before the end of his contract, which runs until the end of 2025. Gould acknowledged the situation but emphasized that it’s “too early to say” anything definitive. He mentioned that any decisions regarding Addo-Carr’s future would prioritize the club’s long-term interests.

“Right at the moment, there’s a process to go through,” Gould explained on **100% Footy**. “He has to front the NRL Integrity Unit this week… The players are also undergoing final medicals and exit interviews.”

Gould also noted that he hasn’t spoken with Addo-Carr since the second positive test and remarked on the disappointment from a club perspective. “It was certainly bad timing from a club perspective, it wasn’t good,” he said.

Addo-Carr, known as ‘The Foxx,’ joined the Bulldogs in 2022 and has scored 38 tries in 52 games. He previously played for the Wests Tigers and the Melbourne Storm, where he won two premierships and represented Australia and NSW in State of Origin.

As the club navigates this situation, Gould is committed to discussing recommendations with the board, ensuring that any decision made reflects the best interests of the Bulldogs.
