Aaron Rodgers has expressed a mix of emotions as he prepares to return to the field for the Jets’ season opener against the San Francisco 49ers. After suffering an Achilles tear just four plays into his debut with the Jets last season, Rodgers admitted to SNY’s Jeane Coakley that there were times when he doubted whether he would be able to return to football.
Rodgers described his comeback as a deeply emotional experience, given the ups and downs he faced throughout the recovery process. He acknowledged that there were moments when it seemed like his career might be over, making his return to the field all the more significant.
Despite being 40 years old and entering his 20th NFL season, Rodgers has not indicated when he might retire. For now, he’s focused on his performance and the opportunity to prove himself once again on the field.
