Gloucester Rugby advanced to the quarter-finals of the 2023/24 EPCR Champions Cup with a 30-25 win over Castres Olympique at Kingsholm. Zach Mercer, Jonny May, and Max Llewellyn scored tries for Gloucester, while Castres’ Julien Dumora opened the scoring. Castres’ Pierre Popeline added 10 points through penalties and conversions, and late tries by Wayan de Benedittis and Josaia Raisuqe made for a tense finish. Ultimately, Santi Carreras’ 15 points from kicks secured the victory for Gloucester.
