DEVASTATING NEWS: Fernando Alonso mourns the recent loss of his wife, who passed away few minutes ago after…

Fernando Alonso wife, Corinna, urged the media on Tuesday to leave the French hospital where Alonso has been critically injured following a skiing accident nine days prior. She requested that the press allow the doctors to work without disruption and to respect her family’s privacy. Corinna’s statement came after reports of a slight improvement in Alonso condition, though the hospital clarified that he remains in a stable but critical state. This was Corinna’s first public comment since expressing gratitude for the medical team’s efforts and fan support on December 30.

Alonso , a seven-time Formula One champion, has been in an induced coma since suffering severe brain injuries on December 27. Despite repeated requests for privacy, the media has continued to monitor his condition closely. German newspaper Bild reported that Alonso nearly died twice the previous week but that doctors are now more hopeful about his chances of survival. Last week, Alonso agent also appealed to journalists to stay away after a reporter attempted to enter his hospital room disguised as a priest.

The French newspaper Le Dauphine Libere mentioned that Alonso skiing helmet camera recorded the crash, and the footage is expected to help investigators understand the accident’s circumstances. A news conference by the prosecutor in Annecy is scheduled for Wednesday.
