The final outcome at the Paris Olympics wasn’t as you had hoped, your performance was outstanding.

Carlos Alcaraz plans to commemorate his first French Open title with a tattoo of the Eiffel Tower. Alcaraz made history by defeating Alexander Zverev in a five-set match at Roland Garros, filling the void left by Rafael Nadal. The 21-year-old Spaniard secured a marathon 6-3, 2-6, 5-7, 6-1, 6-2 victory in four hours and 19 minutes.

Fourth seed Zverev, who had previously defeated Nadal in the first round, was bested by Alcaraz, making Alcaraz the second youngest man to win the French Open after Nadal. Alcaraz, who already has tattoos marking his victories at the 2022 US Open and Wimbledon, plans to add the Eiffel Tower and the date of his French Open win on his left ankle.

Alcaraz shared his childhood dream of winning at Roland Garros and joining the list of Spanish champions. Nadal, a 14-time Roland Garros winner, congratulated Alcaraz on his victory.

Zverev pointed out a controversial moment in the fifth set where an Alcaraz serve was ruled in, affecting the game’s outcome. Despite the loss, Zverev acknowledged Alcaraz’s superior play in the final sets.

Alcaraz’s triumph at the French Open marks a significant milestone in his career, with the young Spaniard aiming for future successes and savoring the memory of playing doubles with Nadal at the Olympics.
