As we head into the Green Bay Packers’ 2024 training camp, much attention is focused on the high-profile draft picks and free-agent acquisitions. However, several less-talked-about players could make significant impacts this season. Here are five under-the-radar players who could play vital roles for Matt LaFleur’s team:

### 1. **DL TJ Slaton**
T.J. Slaton has shown steady improvement over his three seasons with the Packers. In 2023, he recorded career-highs in tackles (50) and snaps played (626). Despite a crowded defensive line, Slaton is expected to remain a key player, especially as the primary run-stopper, as he enters the final year of his rookie contract.

### 2. **RB A.J. Dillon**
With the addition of Josh Jacobs and rookie Marshawn Lloyd, A.J. Dillon’s spot on the roster isn’t guaranteed. However, Dillon’s familiarity with the offense and his versatile skills as a ball carrier, pass-catcher, and blocker could help him secure a role despite the competition.

### 3. **LT Rasheed Walker**
Rasheed Walker showed notable improvement in 2023, making a strong case for himself as a starting left tackle. Despite the arrival of first-round pick Jordan Morgan, Walker’s development, particularly in pass-blocking, makes him a potential key player on the offensive line this season.

### 4. **S Anthony Johnson Jr.**
Although the Packers revamped their safety position with the addition of Xavier McKinney and three draft picks, Anthony Johnson Jr. shouldn’t be overlooked. The 2023 seventh-round pick gained valuable starting experience last year and could continue to develop into a significant contributor in 2024.

### 5. **LB Isaiah McDuffie**
Isaiah McDuffie played over 500 defensive snaps in 2023 and showed promise, particularly in his run defense. With a new 4-3 base defense under Jeff Hafley, McDuffie has the athleticism and speed to thrive, though he will face competition from Eric Wilson and rookie Ty’Ron Hopper for playing time.

These players may not be the headline-makers, but their contributions could be crucial to the Packers’ success this season. For more in-depth Packers coverage, visit the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and Packers Wire.
