REPORT: Green Bay Packers were without a star player in their last game and will also be missing him in the upcoming match due to…

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur talks with quarterback Jordan Love (10) after a failed two point conversion attempt againt the Detroit Lions during their football game Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis. Dan Powers/USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin.

With the Green Bay Packers signing quarterback Jordan Love to a four-year, $220M extension, there’s immense pressure on him to deliver. However, success won’t rely on him alone. Here are five key players who must elevate their game for the Packers to contend in the division:

1. **Josh Jacobs** – The new starting running back must stay healthy and productive to support Love. Jacobs, coming off his worst season with the Raiders, needs to rebound and provide a strong rushing attack.

2. **Rasheed Walker** – The left tackle, a seventh-round pick in 2022, must step up to protect Love’s blind side. Walker’s development is crucial as the Packers didn’t address the LT position in the draft or free agency.

3. **Romeo Doubs** – As a third-year wide receiver, Doubs needs to become a reliable target for Love. Despite leading the team in targets, he must improve his catch rate and route diversity to reach his potential as a 1,000-yard receiver.

4. **Xavier McKinney** – The newly signed safety from the Giants needs to bring vocal leadership to the Packers’ secondary. McKinney, known for his high tackle count and pass deflections, is expected to boost the defense’s performance.

5. **Anders Carlson** – The kicker needs to improve his field goal accuracy, especially from 40-49 yards. Carlson’s performance in clutch situations will be critical for the Packers’ success.

For the Packers to compete in the division, currently ruled by the Detroit Lions, these players need to step up and contribute significantly.
