Larry “Bird Dog” Kent Dutton, 65, passed away on July 24, 2024, at Memorial Hospital. Born on September 2, 1958, in Texas, Larry spent his life in Effingham County.
Larry was a beloved outdoorsman, finding peace and joy in nature. He loved spending time on the water, especially fishing along the river, and he was passionate about bird hunting.
Known for his warm and welcoming personality, Larry made a lasting impact on everyone he met. His presence lit up any room, and he was cherished by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard “Billy” and Doris Dutton, and his brother, Bartow Dutton. He is survived by his sisters, Becky Brigdon (Mike) of Rincon and Joette Dutton Studier (Joe) of Pineora, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A graveside service will be held at Guyton Cemetery on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 10 am.
