**Former Oklahoma State Star James Washington Signs with Atlanta Falcons**

James Washington, a standout wide receiver from Oklahoma State, has signed a contract with the Atlanta Falcons, as announced by his agent on social media.

Washington was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft and played four seasons there, accumulating 1,629 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. His best season came in 2019, with 44 catches and 735 receiving yards.

In Atlanta, Washington will reunite with Ike Hilliard, his former wide receivers coach in Pittsburgh.

After his time with the Steelers, Washington joined the Dallas Cowboys but only played two games with no catches. Subsequent short stints with the New York Giants and New Orleans Saints ended without him making the final rosters. He remained a free agent last year.

Washington, originally from Stamford, TX, was a 4-star recruit and had a stellar college career at Oklahoma State, with 226 catches, 4,472 receiving yards, and 39 touchdowns. His senior year accolades include the Biletnikoff Award and unanimous First Team All-American honors.
