Endrick: Real Madrid’s newest Galactico, became emotional during his presentation at the Bernabeu following his €60 million transfer from Palmeiras. He was seen in tears as he was introduced to the fans…

Brazilian teenager Endrick, 18, has officially joined Real Madrid, signing his contract days after his 18th birthday on July 21, 2024. The forward was presented at the Bernabéu, where he became emotional, expressing his lifelong dream of playing for the Champions League holders.

Real Madrid had agreed to sign Endrick from Palmeiras in December 2022, but he couldn’t join until he turned 18. At his presentation, Endrick and his parents were visibly emotional. He expressed his joy and gratitude, recalling his long-standing ambition to play for Real Madrid, inspired initially by Cristiano Ronaldo.

Over 40,000 fans attended the event, with Madrid president Florentino Perez welcoming the young talent, highlighting Endrick’s childhood dream of playing for Madrid. Endrick spoke about how his love for the club began with Ronaldo and shared his hopes of making history with the team.

Endrick had played for Brazil in the Copa América this summer, and he has been in touch with his new teammates Vinícius Júnior, Rodrygo, and Éder Militão about his move. He will wear the No. 16 jersey and compete alongside these players, as well as new arrival Kylian Mbappé.

Real Madrid’s first competitive game of the 2024-25 season will be the UEFA Super Cup against Atalanta on August 14, followed by their LaLiga opener against Mallorca on August 18. Endrick’s transfer from Palmeiras is noted as the biggest in Brazilian football history, with the total deal worth €72 million.
