NEWS NOW: Kevin Magnussen’s departure from Haas, the American Formula 1 team, marks a significant moment in his career

Kevin Magnussen’s departure from Haas, the American Formula 1 team, marks a significant moment in his careerKevin Magnussen has been let go by Haas for the second time, putting his Formula 1 career in jeopardy.

The team announced that Magnussen will leave at the end of the 2024 season, but his replacement has not yet been confirmed. Esteban Ocon is expected to join the team in 2025 after leaving Alpine. Haas has already signed Oliver Bearman to replace Nico Hulkenberg, who is moving to Sauber.

Magnussen has driven for Haas over two separate periods and has also raced for Renault and McLaren, where he achieved his only podium finish. Despite his efforts, Magnussen has scored only five points this season compared to Hulkenberg’s 22, which contributed to Haas’s decision to let him go.

Magnussen expressed gratitude to the team, especially Gene Haas, for the opportunities provided to him. Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu thanked Magnussen for his contributions. As Magnussen faces limited options for a 2025 drive, he may seek opportunities with teams like Williams, Alpine, or Sauber, but he faces tough competition from other drivers.
