BREAKING: Indiana Fever Coach Announces Departure Amid Contract Talks…..

Indiana Fever head coach Christie Sides has introduced a new rule for WNBA rookie Caitlin Clark to help her adjust to the league’s faster pace. Clark, known for her time at Iowa, must now make decisions within 0.5 seconds to better integrate into the team’s offensive strategies.

Sides emphasized the need for Clark to move quickly after passing the ball and to take advantage of open opportunities, including mid-range jump shots, which are valuable when taken by reliable shooters. Clark’s tendency to hold the ball and take deep shots from her college days needs to be adapted for the WNBA.

In a recent preseason game against the Atlanta Dream, Clark scored 12 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and made six assists, though she struggled with turnovers and shooting accuracy. Despite these challenges, Clark’s home debut attracted a large crowd, highlighting her popularity and the excitement surrounding her.

Drafted first overall by the Fever in 2024, following the selection of Aliyah Boston in 2023, Clark is expected to face significant challenges but also to play a crucial role in the team’s success this season.

Sides later got into the specifics of the turnover problems as a team. “We’ve got to figure out what we did tonight that we can do better on offense especially the 25 turnovers,” she acknowledged.

“And some of them were just, like, they were trying to go inside, they were throwing it really from far out. Like, we’ve got to have people coming back to the ball and then attacking, getting in the paint
