The anticipation surrounding Luka Dončić and the Dallas Mavericks’ contract discussions has reached new heights.

On Wednesday, it was revealed that Dončić’s recent All-NBA First Team selection positions him to potentially sign the largest contract in NBA history.

ESPN’s Bobby Marks reported that Dončić could secure a supermax deal worth up to $346,338,300 in the 2025 offseason, even if he doesn’t make an All-NBA team next year. This would surpass Jaylen Brown’s five-year, $286 million contract by a significant margin.

Dončić is coming off his best NBA season, averaging 33.9 points, 9.8 assists, and 9.2 rebounds per game, with a shooting percentage of 48.7 over 70 games. The Mavericks are expected to offer him the full supermax, which would account for 35 percent of their salary cap, as they aim to build a championship-contending team around him.

Keeping Dončić in Dallas, even at nearly $350 million, would be a monumental success for the franchise.
