Ulster have been handed a timely boost ahead of Saturday’s Champions Cup opener with Iain Henderson, Rob Herring and Mike Lowry all fit again to feature against Bath.
The northern province travel to the Recreation Ground for a first time since 2019 buoyed especially by the return of skipper Henderson.
The two-time Lion comes straight back into the starting team having missed last week’s disappointing home loss to Edinburgh but comes straight back into the starting side, captaining the team from the second-row.
With Alan O’Connor selected alongside him, it means Henderson’s fellow Irish international Kieran Treadwell drops to the bench.
He joins hooker Herring and full-back Lowry among the replacements with Tom Stewart retaining the number two jersey for the game against the high-flying English opposition, joined by Steven Kitshoff and Tom O’Toole in the front-row.
With Will Addison out after a concussion sustained last week, Lowry will wear number 23 with Stewart Moore getting the nod to start in the back-three.
